Primal Scream is a Scottish rock band formed in 1982, originally founded by lead singer and songwriter Bobby Gillespie. They first garnered attention with their 1987 debut album Primal Scream, but it was their 1991 release, Screamadelica, that catapulted them into mainstream success. The album was a groundbreaking fusion of rock, acid house, and dance music, and it produced the hit single "Loaded," which became a defining anthem of the early 90s rave culture.
