Pigeonhed is an American alternative rock band formed in 1993 in Seattle, Washington. The band was originally the project of producer and musician Shawn Smith (known for his work with Brad and Satchel) and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Angell (who would later go on to form Walking Papers). Combining elements of electronic music, industrial rock, and alternative, Pigeonhed’s sound is often described as a fusion of funky rhythms, distorted guitars, and soulful vocals. Their self-titled debut album, Pigeonhed (1993), received critical acclaim for its experimental approach to rock and electronic music, showcasing Smith's smooth vocal style alongside Angell's knack for creating innovative soundscapes.
