Daughtry is an American rock band formed in 2006, fronted by Chris Daughtry, who gained fame as a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol. After his elimination from the show, Chris quickly formed the band, recruiting guitarist Brian Craddock, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Robin Diaz, and guitarist/collaborator Josh Steely. The band’s eponymous debut album, Daughtry (2006), became a massive commercial success, propelled by the hit single "It's Not Over," which became a staple of rock radio.
