Nothing More is an American rock band formed in San Antonio, Texas, in 2003. Known for their hard-hitting sound, eclectic mix of progressive rock, alternative, and metal influences, the band has gained a reputation for their intense live performances and thought-provoking lyrics. The core members of the band include Jonny Hawkins (vocals, drums), Daniel Oliver (bass), and Mark Vollelunga (guitar). After years of building a strong local following, they released their self-titled album Nothing More in 2013, which garnered critical attention and helped the band gain a national audience. Their music is marked by intricate compositions, powerful melodies, and socially conscious themes, often addressing personal struggle, mental health, and societal issues.
Nothing More achieved mainstream success with their 2017 album The Stories We Tell Ourselves, which produced the chart-topping single "Go to War." This album showcased their evolution into a more polished, yet still experimental rock band, blending heavy guitar riffs with electronic elements and dynamic vocal arrangements. With continued success on rock radio, including hits like "Just Say When" and "Ripping Me Apart," Nothing More became known for their genre-blending sound and emotive storytelling. Over the years, the band has continued to tour extensively, gaining a dedicated fanbase. Their ability to push the boundaries of rock music while addressing pressing emotional and social issues has made Nothing More one of the standout bands in the modern rock scene.
